Sub.: Niryat Bandhu Programme: Online Certificate Program in Export & Import Business

The Niryat Bandhu Scheme is an initiative of Government of India for mentoring first generation entrepreneurs in the field of international trade by reaching out to them through training programs, counselling sessions and facilitation. Online Certificate program is aimed at reaching out to the prospective exporters at their desktop.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) is an attached office of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is headed by the Director General of Foreign Trade. As part of Foreign Trade Policy FTP 2015-20, in order to further galvanize the Niryat Bandhu Scheme, the Department of Commerce would conduct an Online Certificate Program in Export and Import Business.

This Online Certificate Program in Export and Import Business will significantly help in orienting first generation exporters/entrepreneurs and small and medium scale entrepreneurs on how to export and the interfaces which are required during the process of export. For instance, it will enable these exporters/entrepreneurs and MSME sector to know about (1) DGFT Schemes and also how to apply for these benefits, (2) how to interface with Customs authorities/Excise Authorities/Banks etc. for the purpose of exports.

The DGFT has collaborated with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) which is a premier organization in this country to conduct this Online Certificate programmes on international trade and international business management. The details of this programme are as follows:

The Programme Fee:

· Total Fee Rs. 25,000

· Participants to pay Rs. 15,000 only

· Balance to be borne by DGFT

How to apply:

It is urged that all exporters should learn first-hand about the export business so that they can have a commanding position in the export import business. This course will familiarize all exporters about the basics of export import business and is a stepping stone to make them an exporter in 20 days.

Those interested may kindly register immediately as the registration has opened on 10th September, 2015. The classes will begin from the first week of October 2015.
