New Minister Removes Restriction on Seeds of Peas, Only Plant Quarantine Order to be Followed

[Notification No. 09/2015-2020 dated 25 June 2019]

Effect of the Notification: Import policy of seeds of Peas is amended from 'Restricted' to 'Free' subject to phytosanitary import conditions as per Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Imports into India), Order 2003. Policy condition 4 to Chapter 12 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule - I (Import Policy) is hereby deleted.

Subject: Amendment in import policy of seeds of Peas.

S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the import policy and Policy condition against HS Code 1209 91 40 and delete Policy Condition No.4 of Chapter 12 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule- I (Import Policy.
