CFC Import Policy Amended

·      HCFC-141B Prohibited, Reporting to MoEF thru Bill of Entry Condition Inserted

·      Importers of chemicals specified at S.Nos. 1 to 15 needs to submit a copy of the Bill of Entry within 30 days to the Ozone Cell. Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, New Delhi.

·      For S.No. 4, Import of HCFC-141b is prohibited except for feedstock application.

·      For S.Nos. 16 to 18, Import of pre-blended polyol containing Group VI substances, including HCFC-141B, is not permitted as per Ozone Depleting Substances (Regulation and Control) Amendment Rules, 2014.

Subject: Amendment in import policy conditions under Chapter 29, 38 and 39 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule-I (Import Policy).

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT(D&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the import policy conditions of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule-I (Import Policy).

2. A new import Policy Condition is added in Chapter 29 and 38 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule-I (Import Policy) as Policy Condition 4 and 5 respectively.

The Importer shall, for, each import consignment, submit a copy of the Bill of Entry within 30 days to the Ozone Cell, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, New Delhi.

Effect of the Notification: The notification amends the policy condition for imports of various chemicals in Chapters 29, 38 and 39 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule-I (Import Policy).
