Five Food Items on FSSAI Import Sensitive List

· FSSAI Asks Foreign Governments to Name Manufacturing Faculties of Five Sensitive Items who alone will be Registered for Export to India.

· Policy Impractical, Wide Sweep Violative of Free and Open Trade Principle.

· Third World Countries will Suffer.

· The List of such high-risk food products are:

(i) Milk and Milk Products

(ii) Egg powder

(iii) Meat and Meat Products including Poultry, Fish and their products

(iv) Food for infant nutrition/Infant Foods

(v) Nutraceuticals, Health supplements, Food for Dietary uses. Probiotic and prebiotic foods. Foods for Special Medical Purpose

· FSSAI sought comments to facilitate ease of oing business while ensuring the mandate of safe food imports in Inia within 30 days from the date of publication at dramit.sharma@fssai.gov.in and import@fssai.gov.in
