DGFT Invites Applications for PSIA Recognition from All Including those whose Validity is upto June 2020 - Last Date 30 Sept 2019

Reference is invited to the Public Notice No. 12/2015-20 dated 18.05.2015 and 19/2015-20 dated 05.06.2015 vide which applications for recognition as Pre-shipment Inspection Agencies (PSIA) were invited.

2. In the 14^th meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) held on 21.6.2019, it was noted that some applications for enlistment/extension of period of validity as PSIA were received after the last date of submission of applications indicated in Trade Notice No. 4 dated 12.4.2019. The applicants had cited oversight as a reason for missing the cut off date 15.5.2019.

3. Considering that only 14 applications have been found eligible for enlistment as PSIA and only 10 other PSIAs would be eligible to issue the PSIC beyond December 2019. The Committee decided to consider the applications received after the cutoff date 15.5.2019, as notified in Trade Notice No. 04/2015-20 dated 12.4.2019, in its next meeting.

4. Accordingly, applications for enlistment as PSIA/extension of period of validity in case of existing PSIAs under Appendix 2G whose validity is up to June 2020, are solicited till 30.9.2019. Interested firms may apply accordingly till 30.9.2019 on the e-mail ID psiadgft@nic.in by 30.9.2019 (6.00 p.m.), wherein details of the instruments/explosive detector may be furnished in Excel Sheet in the prescribed format in ANF 2L Form apart from two hard copy of the application. Applicant must also clearly indicate their desired area of operation and submit copy of the lease rent agreement of their Head Office and Branch Offices. The applications must reach R&l Section, DGFT, Gate No.2. Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi-110011 latest by 30.9.2019.
