Excise on HSD Cut by Rs. 2.60 per litre, Only Road Development Excise and Education Cess at Rs. 2 per litre Remains

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 4/2006-Central Excise, dated the 1^st March, 2006, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 94 (E) dated the 1^st March, 2006, namely: -

In the said notification, in the Table,-

(i) against S. No. 19, against item (i) occurring in column (3), for the entry in column (4), the entry “Nil” shall be substituted.

(ii) for S.No.73A and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and entries shall be substituted, namely:-

“73A	37	Colour positive unexposed cinematographic film in rolls of any size and length and colour negative unexposed cinematographic film in rolls of 400 feet and 1000 feet	Nil	-”
