Food Products SION Tightened with Insertion of Actual User Condition

Effects of this public notice: Various amendments have been carried out in the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) of Product group: Food products.

Subject: Amendments in Standard Input Output Norms (SION) of Product group: Food products.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015- 2020, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby make the following amendments in Standard Input Output Norms (SION) with immediate effect.

1. The following Standard Input Output Norms are deleted:

E7, E21, E22, E23, E24, E25, E26, E44, E50, E64, E65, E66 and E72.

No Advance authorisation under para 4.7 of Handbook of Procedures shall be issued for the export products covered under the above SIONs. Applicants may apply under para 4.06 of Handbook of Procedures.

2. The following Standard Input Output Norms are suspended:

E45, E80, E94 and E105.

No Advance authorisation under para 4.7 of Handbook of Procedures shall be issued for the export products covered under the above SIONs. Applicants may apply under para 4.06 of Handbook of Procedures.

3. Following amendments are made in SION E1 .

Following notes are added below existing SION:

i. Note-I: Lactose / Fructose / Maltose / Mannitol / Sodium Saccharin / Artificial sweetening Agents are not allowed under input item Sl.No-1.

ii. Note-2: CIF value of input item Sl.No-5 shall not exceed 5% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

iii. Note-3: CIF value of input item Sl.No-6 shall not exceed 3% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

iv. Note-4: CIF value of input item Sl.No-7 shall not exceed 2% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

v. Note-5: Input item Sl. Nos 2, 3 and 4 are subjected to actual user condition.

4. Following amendments are made in SION E5:

i. The description of input item Sl.No-1 is amended to read as "Wheat Flour ( ITC(HS) Code: 11010000)"

ii. Below existing note-I to SION, the following note is added. 'Note-2: CIF value of input item Sl.No-4 together shall not exceed 10% of total CIF value of the Authorisation."

5. Following amendments are made in SION E 17:

Following note is added below existing SION:

"Note-I: This SION is subjected to actual user condition."

6. Following amendments are made in SION E69:

i. Existing note below SION is renumbered as note-I .

ii. Following note is added below note-I of existing SION

'Note-2: This SION is subjected to actual user condition.

7. Following amendments are made in SION E79:

i. Input items Sl.Nos 4 to 13 are deleted.

ii. Existing Notes Sl.Nos 1 and 2 appearing below SION are deleted.

iii. Following new note is added below existing SION

'Note-I: This SION is subjected to actual user condition.' 

iv. Existing Note-3 appearing below SION is renumbered as Note-2.

8. Following amendments are made in SION E 104:

Quanity of input item Sl.No-3 shall be amended to read as

"1% of weight of Tea content in export product"

9. Following amendments are made in SION E106:

i. Input items Sl.Nos 4 to 11 are deleted.

ii. Existing Notes Sl.Nos 1 and 2 appearing below SION are deleted.

iii. Following new note is added below existing SION

'Note-I: This SION is subjected to actual user condition."

iv. Existing Note-3 appearing below SION is renumbered as Note-2.

10. Following amendments are made in SION E108:

i. Input items Sl.Nos 2,3 and 4 are deleted.

ii. Notes Sl.Nos (a) and (b) appearing below existing SION are deleted.

iii. The word "DFRC" is replaced with word "DFIA" in existing note (d).

iv. The notes Sl.Nos "c" and "d" are renumbered as "a" and "b"

11. Following amendments are made in SION E 119:

i. Input items Sl.Nos 2,3 and 4 are deleted.

ii. Notes Sl.Nos 1 and 2 appearing below existing SION are deleted.

iii. The word "DFRC" is replaced with word "DFIA" in existing note (4).

iv. The notes Sl.Nos "3" and "4" are renumbered as "1 " and "2"

12. Following amendments are made in SION E120:

i. Input items Sl.Nos 2,3 and 5 are deleted.

ii. Notes Sl.Nos 1 and 2 appearing below existing SION are deleted.

iii. The word "DFRC" is replaced with word "DFIA" in existing note (4).

iv. The notes Sl.Nos "3" and "4" are renumbered as "1 " and "2"

13. Following amendments are made in SION E123:

i. Input items Sl.Nos 6 and 7 are deleted.

14. Following amendments are made in SION E 126

Following notes are added below existing SION

i. Note-I: CIF value of input item Sl.No-2 shall not exceed 3% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

ii. Note-2: CIF value of input item Sl.No-3 shall not exceed 1% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

15. Following amendments are made in SION E 127:

i. Input items Sl.Nos 6 and 7 are deleted.

16. Following amendments are made in SION E128:

i. Input items Sl.Nos 6 and 7 are deleted.

17. Following amendments are made in SION E129.

Following notes are added below existing notes of SION:

i. Note-3: This SION is subjected to actual user condition.

ii. Note-4: CIF value of input item Sl.No-2 shall not exceed 5% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

iii. Note-5: CIF value of input item Sl.No-4 shall not exceed 3% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

18. Following amendments are made in SION E 130.

ii. Note-4: CIF value of input item Sl.No-2 shall not exceed 5% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

iii. Note-5: CIF value of input item Sl.No-4 shall not exceed 3% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

iv. Note-6: CIF value of input item Sl.No-5 shall not exceed 2% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

19. Following amendments are made in SION E131.

Following notes are added below existing SION:

ii. Note-4: CIF value of input item Sl.No-5 shall not exceed 2% of total CIF value of the Authorisation.

20. Following amendments are made in SION E132.
