Additional Quota of 2.5 Lakh tonnes for Urad Import Released

Subject: Corrigendum to Trade Notice No. 42/29019-20 and No. 43/2019-20 dated 19.12.2019.

Reference is invited to Trade Notice No. 42/2019-20 and No. 43/2019-20 dated 19.12.2019 laying down the modalities for import of Urad upto an annual quota of 04 lakh MT for the fiscal year 2019-2020. In the matter, corrigendum to the Notification S.O. 4540 (E) dated 18.12.2019 has been issued rectifying the HS Code and the item description of Urad. The copy of the corrigendum dated 24.12.2019 is enclosed herewith for ready reference.

2. Accordingly, the millers/ traders shall mention HSN code 07133110 while applying for the import quota of additional Urad (2.5 lakh MT) instead of HSN Code 0713 3190 for the fiscal year 2019-2020.

CORRIGENDUM

Subject: Corrigendum to· Notification S.O.4540 (E) dated the 18th· December, 2019.

S.O. (E).- In exercise of powers conferred by section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, the Central Government hereby notifies corrigendum to the Notification S.O. 4540 (E) dated the 181h December, 2019 as under:-

(i) In Column No. 1 (Exim Code), the Exim Code 0713 31 90 is -rectified to be read as "0713 31 10".

(ii) In Column No. 2 (Item Description), the description "Urad (8eans of the SPP Vigna "Radiata (L.) Wilczek)" is rectified to be read as "Urad Beans of the SPP Vigna Mungo (L) Hepper)".

2. This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
