Wood Charcoal Exports to Bhutan Permitted

Subject: Relaxation in policy for export of Wood Charcoal to Bhutan.

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development& Regulation) Act, 1992, as amended, read with paragraph 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14 the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in respect of Sl. No. 179 of Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items as under:

“Sl. No.179 of Chapter 44 of Schedule 2 of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items prohibits export of wood charcoal. This prohibition will not apply to Bhutan”.

2. Effect of this notification

There will be no prohibition on export of wood charcoal to Bhutan.
