Cabinet Approves 17 Secy/Addl Level Appointments

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following appointments:

DGFT:

(i) Shri Amit Yadav, lAS (UT:91), Joint Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications as Director General, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

Others:

(i) Ms. T. Rajeshwari, ISS (85), Additional Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.

(ii) Shri Arvind Singh, lAS (MH:88), presently in the Cadre, as Chairman, Airports Authority of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

(iii) Shri Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, lAS (UK:88), Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development as Chairman, National Highways Authority of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily downgrading the post against the vacancy caused due to appointment of Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, lAS (JH:87) as Secretary, Department of Border Management.

(v) Shri Ashish Upadhyay, lAS (MP:89), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Power by temporarily upgrading the vacant post of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry.

(vi) Shri K. Sanjay Murthy, lAS (HP:89), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation, Ministry of Commerce & Industry in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post.

(vii) Shrl Keshav Kumar Pathak, lAS (BH:90), presently in the Cadre, as Managing Director, National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd., Ministry of Road Transport & Highways in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

(xiv) Shri B. Srinivas, lAS (KL:91), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as Managing Director, National Horticulture Board, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post vice Shri M. Ariz Ahammed, lAS (AM:95).

(xv) Shri Satya Brata Sahu, lAS (OR:91), Director, National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited as Additional Secretary, Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development.

(xvi) Shri Vijayendra, lAS (AM:91), Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production as Chairman & Managing Director, National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary under Central Staffing Scheme.

2. The ACC has also approved upgradation of the following officers of 1991 batch on in-situ basis to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India, as a measure personal to them, by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them:
