The Malaysian company Plus Max Duty Free Private Limited had smuggled liquor worth Rs 6 crore via duty-free shop in Thiruvananthapuram airport evading tax. Luke facilitated the smuggling by securing the passport details of over 13,000 passengers from 4 airlines companies and handed it over to Plus Max. This was to forge evidence that these passengers bought liquor.
