Engineering
Goods Exports Up by 37% year-on-year in November, Hits USD 8 bn and 27% share in the total exports
Engineering goods shipments have continued the growth
momentum and driven the overall exports in the month of November. Given the
order pipeline from key markets, we expect to close the current financial year
with record exports, said EEPC India Chairman Mr
Mahesh Desai.
Engineering goods exports grew 37% year-on-year in
November to USD 8 billion and had 27% share in the total exports from the country.
"There are downside risks in the wake of a new
variant of concern but given the experience of handling the virus for almost
two years now, countries would unlikely resort to stringent border movement
restrictions, '' Mr Desai said.
"In that case we don't see the ongoing export flow
getting disrupted," he added.
