GST Council Meet at Vigyan Bhavan

· Consensus in Fin Min meet that GST will definitely roll out by 1 July.

· Amit Mitra, reclusive West Bengal Finance Minister joins meet.

· Rates on six product categories not in first list to be decided.

· GST Debate on revision of rates is still on. State Finance Ministers show diverse views on textiles and gold, the major items in the six categories in the undecided group.

· They have let the journos into Vigyan Bhavan where the parleys are on. They can now cool their heels in the air-conditioned environs of the vast meeting place.
