Initiates WTO Dispute Complaint regarding EU Steel Duties
Indonesia has requested WTO
dispute consultations with the European Union regarding EU anti-dumping and
countervailing duties imposed on imports of stainless steel cold-rolled flat
products from Indonesia. The request was circulated to WTO members on 26 January.
Indonesia claims that the
duty measures at issue and the investigations leading to the imposition of the
duties appear to be inconsistent with the WTO's Anti-Dumping Agreement, the
Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures, and the General Agreement
on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994.
