Lifting of Curbs on
Movement of Goods, Persons to Help Exporters Recover Business, says EEPC Chairman
Further
easing of lockdown, allowing free movement of goods and persons across the country,
except in the containment zones, should provide relief to exporters who can re-start
their manufacturing operations, said EEPC India Chairman Mr
Ravi Sehgal.
''Substantial
lifting of lockdown is a sentiment booster for exporters, after months of difficulties
and challenges. Even as we count our losses,
easing of restrictions on economic activities would save millions of jobs, though
an arduous task of re-building the business lies ahead," said Mr Sehgal.
He said,
after huge setback in April and May, exports in June should pick up; though the
improvement would only be on a sequential basis. Lifting of restrictions is a big
positive for exporters, Mr Sehgal said.
