Madagascar Launches Safeguard Investigation on Wheat or Meslin Flour

On 23 February 2023, Madagascar notified the WTO’s Committee on Safeguards that it initiated on 18 February 2023 a safeguard investigation on wheat or meslin flour and that it imposed a provisional measure.

"Interested parties should make themselves known to the ANMCC, at the address mentioned below, within 30 days from the date of the initiation of the investigation.

In accordance with Article 3 of the Agreement on Safeguards, all information or comments as well as the request for a questionnaire should be submitted in writing to the ANMCC at the address mentioned below within 30 days of the date of the initiation of the investigation.

Offer of consultations under Article 12.4

In accordance with Article 12.4 of the Agreement on Safeguards, Madagascar is prepared to conduct consultations on the provisional safeguard measure with Members having a substantial interest as exporters of the products concerned.
