Tariff Lines in Chapter 20 from Industry, Seeks Data from Industry
The Ministry of Food Processing
Industry has requested for data on 26 tariff lines and suggestions for/against proposed
duty hike. The response is for:
a.
Current domestic capacity (approx.) for each tariff
lines;
b.
Underutilized capacity (approx.) for each of tariff
lines;
c.
Any domestic substitute(s) available for the product(s)
under each of tariff lines;
d.
Views/suggestions, if any; especially regarding the
surge in imports or cheap imports, etc.
