Zero Duty under LDC Withdrawn for Maldives and Samoa

Seeks to amend notification No. 40/2012 -Customs (ADD) dated 30th August, 2012, so as to amend, for the purposes of levy of Anti-Dumping Duty on imports of 'Metronidazole' originating in, or exported from China PR, the name of the Exporter from 'M/s Hubei Hongyuan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd' to 'M/s Hubei Hongyuan Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd'.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 96/2008-Customs, dated the 13th August, 2008 published vide number G.S.R. 590 (E), dated the 13th August, 2008, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Schedule,-

i. entries against serial numbers 5 and 21, shall be omitted;

ii. for the entry against serial number 24, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-

“Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste”
