Export Duty of 20% Slapped on Sugar

[Customs Notification No. 37 dated 16^th June 2016]

Seeks to further amend notification No. 27/2011-Customs, dated 01.03.2011 so as to impose export duty of 20% on raw sugar, white or refined sugar.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 27/2011-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2011, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 153(E), dated the 1st March, 2011, namely :-

In the said notification, in the Table, serial number 9A and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
