QC Order Amended to Exclude Rule 126 Cases

S.O. 3190(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 16 read with sub-section (3) of section 25
of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central
Government, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, is of the opinion
that it is necessary so to do in the public interest, hereby makes the
following Order further to amend the Safety glass (Quality Control) Order,
2020, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.–
(1) This Order may be called the Safety Glass (Quality Control) Second
Amendment Order, 2020.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its
publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Safety Glass (Quality Control) Order, 2020, in
Paragraph 2, after the proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted,
namely:-
Provided further that nothing in this Order shall apply
to safety glass used in the vehicle imported in India by vehicle manufacturer
under the provisions of rule 126 of Central Motor Vehicle rules, 1989‖.
