TRAI Issues Consultation Paper on “Promoting Networking and Telecom Equipment Manufacturing in India”

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on February 11, 2022 has issued consultation paper on “Promoting Networking and Telecom Equipment Manufacturing in India”.

The following has been stated namely: -

• TRAI intends to examine measures that should be taken to meet the demand of growing market both within the country and outside. It also intends to solicit views on measures required for transforming the telecommunication manufacturing landscape and establish the country as an export hub.

• Views of stakeholders on existing concerns in Networking and Telecom Equipment Manufacturing are invited by March 11, 2022. Counter comments if any may be submitted by March 25, 2022. The comments and counter comments may be sent preferably in electronic form at advbbpa@trai.gov.in with a copy to jtadvbbpa-3@trai.gov.in.
