TRU says No to Anti-dumping Duty on DGTR Recco for Bus and Truck Radial Tyres from China in Sunset Review

· DGTR Recommended Anti-dumping Duty of US$452.33 per MT in Sunset Review Findings on ATMA Complaint

Subject: Final Findings in the matter of sunset review Investigation concerning imports of "New/unused pneumatic radial tyres with or without tubes and/or flap of rubber (including tubeless tyres) having nominal rim dia above 16" used in buses & lorries/trucks" originating in or exported from China PR.

The undersigned is directed to refer to the final findings on the above subject issued vide notification F. No.07/02/2022-DGTR dated the 16th September 2022, wherein it was recommended to impose anti-dumping duty on imports of "New/unused pneumatic radial tyres with or without tubes and/or flap of rubber (including tubeless tyres) having nominal rim dia above 16" used in buses & lorries/trucks" originating in or exported from China PR.

2. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (5) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, read with rules 18, 20 and 23 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the Central Government, after considering the final findings of the designated authority, has decided not to accept the aforesaid recommendations.
