UP Cuts Electricity Prices for Units under Lockdown

It is benefit given by UP Government to industries in this ongoing lockdown

Today, on 02-April-2020, information was given by Uttar Pradesh's Energy Minister, Pandit Shrikant Sharma, that on the instructions of Hon'ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UPPCL has taken following decisions regarding the liability for electricity bill of industrial and commercial consumers during the period of lockdown -

Billing of commercial and industrial consumers for the month of april will be done on the basis of actual consumption and not on the basis of average consumption of last 3 months.

The liability for fixed/demand charges in proportion to the lockdown period in the month of March and April has been postponed to the next 2 months.

19.23 lac commercial and industrial consumers of the state will be benefited by this decision.
