Procedure for Import Clearance of Gift
Shipments Arriving at EICI Terminal of New Courier Terminal (NCT). New Delhi

Customer – Clearance of import of
shipments under CBE-II at New Courier Terminal, I.G.I. Airport, New Delhi.
In order to ensure that large number
of gift shipments arriving at EICI Terminal of New Courier Terminal (NCT). New
Delhi do not suffer demurrage and to allow expeditious clearance of CBE-XII
(which account for more than 65% of the total arrivals in the EICI Terminal), The following procedure is prescribed:
i. All the CBE-XII shipments consigned to
Northern Zone covering Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu &
Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, shall be processed and cleared for home
consumption from NCT, Delhi.
ii. CBE-XII shipments consigned to the rest of
the country shall be allowed clearance on
transshipment for customs clearance by the nearest Courier Terminal based on
the consignee address.
iii. The process of transshipment shall be carried out in terms of applicable provisions of
customs Act, 1962, related Transshipment Regulations and Board’s Circulars
issued on the subject.
Difficulties, if any, in implementation
of above procedure may be brought to the notice of the
undersigned.
This public notice is
being issued with the approval of the Commissioner of Customs (Air Cargo
Exports) and shall come into operation w.e.f. 16.05.2019.
