Subject: -Registration of contracts for Peas (HS - code 0713
10 00) under Trade Notice No.25/2018-19 dated 17th
August, 2018.
DGFT vide Trade Notice No.25/2018-29 dated 17.08.2018 has
allowed import of minimum 125 MT (5 FCL) of Peas under
HS Code 0713 10 00 per contract or less (entire quantity as applied) irrespective
of the advance payment made before 25.4.2018. Eligible applicants were to
register I enhance their contracts with the concerned jurisdictional Regional
Authorities.
2. DGFT has been receiving representations with regard to
validity of Registration of Contracts (RC) at the time of import clearance by
Customs. In this regard, it is clarified that whenever RC is valid till 31st March (or for that matter any other date) shipment
made by that date is valid under the said RC. As per Para 2.17 read with Para
9.11 of HBP, 2015-2020, the date affixed on the Bill of Lading will be reckoned as the date of shipment/dispatch for
imports.
3. It is further advised that in
case there is any problem at Customs end, Regional Authorities may consider revalidating
the RCs, provided the date of Bill of Lading is prior to the date of expiry of
the RC, without referring the matter to the DGFT Hqs.
This issues with the approval of competent authority.
