Maldives Quota for Food in 2018-19 without Export Restrictions for Whole Year Released

[Notification No. 12/2015-2020 dated 20 June 2018]

Effect of this notification: Export of Potatoes, Onions, Rice, Wheat Flour, Sugar, Dal and Eggs has been permitted to the Republic of Maldives under bilateral trade agreement between Government of India and Government of Maldives during the period 2018-19 w.e.f. April, 2018 as per the quantities indicated in the Table at Para 1 above. The export of above items to Republic of Maldives will be exempted from any existing or future restriction I prohibition on export.

Subject: Supply of essential commodities to the Republic of Maldives during 2018-19

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992), as amended, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-2020, the Central Government hereby allow the following quantities of Potatoes, Onions, Rice, Wheat Flour, Sugar, Dal and Eggs for export to the Republic of Maldives under bilateral trade agreement between Government of India and Government of Maldives during the period 2018-19:-

2. Export of the above items shall be exempted from any existing or future restriction/prohibition during the period 2018-19 to the Republic of Maldives.
