Import of Areca Nuts below CIF Value Rs. 251 per kg Prohibited

Effect of this Notification: Import of areca nut over and above CIF Rs. 251/ per kilogram is free and import below CIF Rs. 251/kg is prohibited.

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1. 02 and 2. 01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby, in supersession of Notification No. 35/2015-2020 dated 17 January, 2017, amends the Import Policy of areca nut under Exim Code 0802 80 of Chapter 8 of lTC (HS) 2017, Schedule 1 (Import Policy) as under:
