Low Value Limit for Export to Post, only Courier Exports Limit is at Rs. 5 Lakhs

Effect of this Notification: The value limit stipulated on exports through Post in Para 2.47 of the FTP has been done away with. The value limit of Rs.5,00,000/- will be applicable only in case of courier exports.

Subject: Amendment in Para 2.47 of FTP 2015-2020.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 with immediate effect:

However, exportability of such items shall be regulated in accordance with FTP/ ITC (HS), 2017.The value limit for such exports through courier service and Post shall be Rs 5,00,000 per consignment.	2.47 Export through Courier Service/Post Exports through a registered courier service/Foreign Post Office is permitted as per Notification issued by DoR. However, exportability of such items shall be regulated in accordance with FTP/ Export Policy in ITC (HS), 2018. The value limit for exports through courier service shall be Rs 5,00,000 per consignment.
