Import Quota for Pulses from 1 April 2019 Released

·         Moong (Split and Non Split) 1.5 lakh MT

·         Peas (Split and Non Split) 1.5 lakh MT, New Restriction Imposed

·         Urad (Split and Non Split) 1.5 lakh MT

·         Pigeon Peas (Tur/Arhar) 2 lakh MT

·         Consumer Price to Rise, Applicants Quantity for 10 times Quota Available, Allocation only to Processors

Subject: Restriction on import of Peas and Pulses.

Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry has issued the Notifications (i) S.O. No.1478 (E) dated 29th March, 2019, (ii) S.O. No.1479 (E) dated 29th March, 2019, (iii) S.O. No.1480 (E) dated 29th March, 2019 and S.O. No.1481 (E) dated 29th March, 2019, restricting import of Peas and Pulses.

2. The Notifications comes into force with effect from 1st April, 2019. Copies of the said Notifications are attached herewith for ready reference.
