Navi Mumbai as Notified Courier Terminal, Offsets Load on Bombay Port

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has amended Notification No. 27/2018-Customs (N.T.) to include Navi Mumbai in the list of notified International Courier Terminals under Section 7(1)(f) of the Customs Act, 1962. With this amendment, Navi Mumbai has been added as Serial No. 15 in the notified locations, facilitating customs clearance of international courier consignments through the city and strengthening logistics infrastructure in the Mumbai metropolitan region. The notification came into effect on 18 June 2026.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (f) of sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 27/2018-Customs (N.T.), dated, the 28th March, 2018, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (i), vide number G.S.R. 295(E), dated, the 28th March, 2018, namely:-

In the said notification, in the table, after Sl. No. 14 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be added, namely: -

“15. Navi Mumbai”.
