Ambassador Greer Issues Statement
on Frameworks for Agreements on Reciprocal Trade with El Salvador, Argentina, Ecuador,
and Guatemala

13 November 2025, Ambassador Jamieson Greer issued a statement following
President Trump’s announcement of Joint Statements with El Salvador, Argentina, Ecuador, and
Guatemala to establish Frameworks
for Agreements on Reciprocal Trade. He emphasized that
President Trump’s leadership is ushering in a new phase of economic partnership
in the Western Hemisphere, supporting both U.S. economic and national security
goals. Greer noted that the frameworks will help open new markets for U.S. exports,
reduce trade barriers,
and promote fair, balanced
trade. He also thanked his counterparts in the four partner
countries for their commitment to these goals.
