EEPC India Welcomes FTP Amendment to Promote Rupee-Based

India welcomes the government's move to strengthen the role of the Indian Rupee
(INR) in international trade by amending the relevant parts of the Foreign
Trade Policy (FTP) 2023. The amendment aligns with the government's aim to
promote rupee trade. Changes to Paras 2.52 and 2.53 of the FTP make it easier
for exporters to receive payments in INR. It will reduce currency conversion
costs for exporters, thus making Indian exports more competitive.
