Subject: Standards relating to Durum Wheat
Maida, Quinoa, Instant Noodles & Pearl millet flours
The Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food
Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2017 has been notified in gazette of India.
The above notification specifies the standards for Durum Wheat
Maida, Quinoa, Instant Noodles, Pearl millet flour in addition to existing
standards of Cereal & Cereal Products at regulation 2.4.These new standards
for Cereal & Cereal Products make it possible to effectively regulate them
for their food safety and quality.
The above regulation came into force on the
date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
