GST Council Likely to Meet in Third Week to January; to Take a Call on about 50 Amendments in GST Laws

The next meeting of the GST Council is likely to be held in early January 2018; at that meeting, pending issues such as inclusion of real estate and electricity will be discussed. After this, a Video Conference was held in 16 December to finalise E-Bill. Now the rumour is that the next meeting will be in 3^rd week of January just before the Budget due on 1 Feb 2018.

Nearly 50 amendments in GST Laws will be finalized following recommendations o the Gautam Ray Advisory Group and the Legal Committee to the GST Council.
