In a major bureaucratic reshuffle across different levels
at the Centre, the government on Monday transferred and posted 48 senior
officers to the Joint Secretary or equivalent levels in Ministries and
Departments.
In an order issued by the Department of Personnel &
Training (DoPT), it was said that “The Appointments
Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointments of officers at Joint
Secretary/Joint Secretary-equivalent level with pay at Level 14 of the Pay
Matrix.”
Among the key postings, Dr
Hardik Satishchandra Shah was appointed as the Private Secretary to
the Prime Minister (Joint Secretary-level) in the Prime Minister's Office
(PMO), from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, on a co-terminus
basis or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Other key postings include that of KAPIL
MEENA, who has been made Managing Director, National
Horticulture Board (NHB), Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare. He
will replace B. Srinivas (lAS: KL: 1991).
G. Venkatesh (lCoAS, 1997) has
been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Chemicals &
Petrochemicals, replacing Deepak Mishra (IFoS, 1996).
Priyanka
Das
has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation,
replacing Shobhit Gupta (IRSEE, 2000).
Jawahar
P.
has been appointed as the Chairman (JS level), Marine Products Exports
Development Authority (MPEDA), Department of Commerce, in place of Dodda
Venkata Swamy.

Ajeet Kumar Srivastava (IRAS, 1999) has been appointed as
the Additional Financial Advisor (Joint Secretary-level), replacing Vedveer Arya (IDAS, 1997).
Vipul Aggarwal (IPS, 2001) has been appointed as the Joint
Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, replacing Shantanu.
Sakshi
Mittal has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the
Department of Economic Affairs. LAYA
MADDURI has been appointed as the Joint Secretary, Department of
Economic Affairs for a combined tenure of five years (up to 03/04/2030), or
until further orders, whichever is earlier, from the date of assumption of the
charge of the post by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from
DS/Director-level to JS-level in the Department for an initial period of two
years.
VIKAS
SINGH has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the
Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Girish
Chandrashekhar Hosur (IFoS: HP: 1996) has been
