Subject: Amendment to the
“Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration)
Order, 2021”.
S.O.
5190(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (2) of
section 16 read with sub section (3) of section 25 of the Bureau of Indian
Standards Act, 2016, (11 of 2016), the Central Government is of the opinion
that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest, hereby makes
the following amendments to the “Electronics and Information Technology Goods
(Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021”:

The following entry be added at S. No. 66 in the Schedule of the
“Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory
Registration) Order, 2021.

The provisions of “Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of
Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021” shall apply on the goods or articles as
specified in the column (2), added to the schedule of the said Order by virtue
of this notification, for conforming to the corresponding Indian Standard as
specified in the column (3), with effect from 1st April, 2027.
