Ministry of Steel to Hold Open House on Steel Import Issues on 2

The Ministry
of Steel will conduct an Open
House on 2 February 2026 to discuss issues related to the import of steel.
·
The meeting will be held at Steel Room, 3rd Floor, GPOA-3, Netaji Nagar, New Delhi,
from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM.
·
Companies and industry associations can present issues
related to SIMS, SARAL
SIMS, and QCO Exemptions during the Open House.
·
To participate, interested entities must send an email to tech-steel[at]nic[dot]in to obtain a confirmed time slot.
·
The email should include the following details:
o Name of the Company/Association
o Whether the issue
relates to SIMS / SARAL
SIMS / QCO Exemption
o Name and designation of the participant
(third-party representation not allowed)
o Reference of SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO Exemption
application, if any
o Type of industry and
product (Auto, Aerospace, Telecom, Defence, etc.)
o Brief description of
the issue (maximum 50 words)
o Contact details (mobile number and
email ID)

Only one representative per organisation will be allowed to
ensure wider participation.
·
Walk-in participation is not permitted due to logistical
constraints.
·
Specific time slots will be communicated to participants via
email.
·
Requests for participation must be sent by 30 January 2026, 6:00 PM
to receive a confirmed slot.
Ministry of Steel will be conducting Open

in Steel Room, 3rd Floor, GPOA- 3, Netaji Nagar New Delhi. Companies and associations
may present their issues related to above subjects in the Open House. To participate
in the Open House e-mails may be sent on tech-steel[at]nic[dot]in for getting a confirmed time slot on
above date.
While sending the e-mail, following information
may be included:
1. Name of the Company/Association
2. Issue is related to SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO
EXEMPTION
3. Name and designation of participant (third
party representation not allowed)
4. Reference of SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO EXEMPTION
application if any
5. Type of industry and product – Auto/Aerospace/Telecom/
Defence, etc.
6. Issue in brief (maximum 50 words)
7. Contact details of the participant (mobile
number and e-mail)
The Open House will be conducted from
12:00 noon to 5:00 PM and specific time slots will be indicated via e-mail. Walk-ins
will not be possible due to logistic challenges and only one representative per
organisation is permitted to ensure wider participation.
It is advised that any company or association
having issues related to SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO EXEMPTION for import of steel may send
their request on the above e-mail by 30th January 2026 6:00 pm to get
confirmed time-slots.
