Morocco Launches Safeguard
Investigation on Hot-Rolled Sheets of Steel
On
27 May 2019, Morocco notified the WTO’s Committee on Safeguards that it
initiated on 29 May 2019 a safeguard investigation on hot-rolled sheets of
steel.
In
the notification Morocco indicated, among other
things, as follows (provisional translation):
“In
order to collect the information necessary for this investigation, the Ministry
will send questionnaires to the domestic producers and importers of the product
concerned identified in the request.
Other
interested parties wishing to receive a questionnaire and participate in the
survey must contact the Ministry, by fax or email, within 15 days from the date
of initiation of the investigation (not later than Monday, 17 June 2019 at
16h).

Interested
parties have a period of 30 days from the date of the initiation of the
investigation (i.e. no later than Tuesday, 4 July 2019 at 16hr) to make
themselves known.
Interested
parties have a period of 30 days from the date of the initiation of the
investigation (i.e. no later than Tuesday, 4 July 2019 at 16hr) to issue, in
writing, regardless of the replies to the questionnaires, their opinion and
comments on the initiation of the investigation […].
