Seeks to amend notification No. 82/2017-Customs dated 27.10.2018 to amend the effective rate of customs duty of tariff item 6001 9200.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment, in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.82/2017-Customs, dated the 27th October, 2017, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 1341(E), dated the 27th October, 2017, namely:-

Against S. No. 157, for the entry in column (4), the entry “20% or Rs. 100 per kg., whichever is higher”, shall be substituted.
