Re-imports for Repairs – Re-importation should Take Place within 10 Years in the Case of Nepal

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) ,No. G. S. R. 744(E), dated the 14th November, 1995 (No.158/95-Customs, dated the 14th November, 1995), namely,-

In the said notification, in the Table, against serial number 1, in column (3), in item 1, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely,-

“Provided that such re-importation takes place within 10 years from the date of exportation in case of Nepal.”
