Goods Imported for Postage Exhibition ‘INDIPEX 2011’

In exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of
1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the
public interest so to do, hereby exempts the goods described in the Schedule
annexed hereto, when imported into India for display or sale in the ‘INDIPEX 2011’ which
is an international philatelic exhibition to be held at New Delhi from the 12th February, 2011 to 18th February, 2011, organized by the
Department of Posts in the Ministry of Communications, Government of India,
from the whole of the duty of customs leviable
thereon which is specified in the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act,
1975 (51 of 1975) and from the whole of the additional duties leviable thereon under section 3 of the said Customs Tariff
Act, subject to the condition that an officer not below the rank of a Deputy
Secretary to the Government of India in the Department of Posts in the Ministry
of Communications certifies that the said goods are required for display or
sale in the above said exhibition.

2. This notification shall
remain in force upto and inclusive of the 18th
February, 2011.
