Plant Quarantine Agencies to Register under e-SANCHIT

Subject: Elimination of hard copies & uploading the
required documents by importers/exporters in e-SANCHIT web portal under the
mandate of Ease of Doing (EoD) Business
It is to inform that under the mandate of EoD business, Government of India has decided to eliminate
the submission of hard copies of any documents, which are mandatorily required
by PGAs to process the cases. Hence, all the in-charges of RPQSs/PQSs are
hereby asked to register themselves and other Phytosanitary
Certificate issuing authorities to register with ICEGATE immediately enabling
them to view the e-SANCHIT web portal.
Also all authorities are urged to sensitize the
importers/exporters to upload all required documents in the e-SANCHIT web
portal, while submitting online applications and not to insist for submission
of hard copies of any documents from importers & exporters for processing
of import/export cases.
Further, all the officer in-charge of RPQSs/PQSs are
advised to ensure to collect the hard copy of original PSC at the time of
inspection of consignment, which is a mandatory document as per Clause 3(20) of
Chapter-II of PQ Order, 2003.
Officer in-charge of RPQSs advised that instructions may
be issued to all PQ Stations come under their respective jurisdictions and all
state PSC issuing authorities including research institutes for necessary
compliance.
All RPQSs officer I/c are advised to follow up the
progress regularly and a compiled status may be sent
to Hqr. Faridabad for further necessary action.
This has issues with the approval of PPA.
