RoDTEP Scheme
Extended till 31 December 2026 to Support Exporters

The Department of Commerce has extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported
Products (RoDTEP) Scheme up to 31 December 2026.

The extension was notified through Notification No. 41/2026-27 dated 30 September
2026.
·
The scheme will continue to be available
for exports made by:
o Domestic
Tariff Area (DTA)
Units
o Advance
Authorisation (AA) Holders
o Special
Economic Zone (SEZ) Units
o Export
Oriented Units (EOUs)

RoDTEP
reimburses embedded and un-refunded
Central, State, and local duties, taxes, and levies incurred in
the production and export of goods.
·
The scheme also covers prior-stage cumulative indirect taxes
that are not otherwise refunded.
·
Existing RoDTEP rates and value caps notified
in Appendix 4R and Appendix
4RE as on 30
September 2026 will remain unchanged during the extended period.

The extension aims to provide continued support
to Indian exporters and enhance their competitiveness in global markets.

The measure reflects the Government's commitment
to creating a level playing
field for Indian exporters against competing economies.

The Department of Commerce, has vide Notification
No. 41/2026-27 dated 30th September 2026 extended the continuation of
Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP)
Scheme upto 31st December 2026 and shall be available
for exports made by Domestic Tariff Area (DTAs) Units, Advance Authorisation (AA)
Holders, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Units and Export Oriented Units(EOUs).
The RoDTEP Scheme
refunds embedded, un-rebated Central, State and local duties, taxes and levies
borne on exported products — including prior-stage cumulative indirect taxes
The existing RoDTEP
rates and value caps, as notified in Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE as applicable
on 30th September 2026 shall continue unchanged during the aforesaid
period.
The above measure reflects the Government's
commitment to provide support to the exporters by creating a level playing field
in international markets vis-à-vis competing economies.
