Quarantine – Kiwi from Greece Import Permitted with 6 Additional Declarations
in Phyto Certificate

S.O.
2192(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Destructive Insects and Pests Act, 1914 (2
of 1914), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to
amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003, namely:-
Short
title and Commencement.- (1) This Order may be called
the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Fourth Amendment)
Order, 2026.
(2)
It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official
Gazette.
2.
Amendment of Schedule VI.- The existing entries in column
(6) against serial number 7 relating to ‘Fruits for consumption’ of ‘Actinidia chinensis and A. deliciosa (Kiwi)’
from ‘Greece’ will be replaced with the following entries namely:-

3 ½ hrs at 210C or above or equivalent thereof. The treatment should be endorsed
on Phytosanitary certificate issued at the country of origin/re-export |
