The Ministry of Steel will conduct
an Open House
on 9 July 2026
in New Delhi>
to address issues related to steel
imports.

Venue: Steel Room, 3rd Floor, GPOA-3, Netaji Nagar,
New Delhi.

Timings: 11:00
AM to 5:00 PM.
·
Companies
and industry associations can raise concerns related to:
o SIMS (Steel Import Monitoring System)
o SARAL SIMS
o Quality Control Order (QCO) Exemptions
·
Interested
participants must request a confirmed
time slot by emailing the Ministry before 4:00 PM on 6 July 2026.
·
The email
should include:
o Company/Association name.
o Industry type (e.g., Auto, Aerospace, Telecom,
Defence).
o Nature of issue (SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO Exemption).
o Application reference number (if applicable).
o Brief description of the issue (maximum 50
words).
o Participant's name and designation.
o Contact details (mobile number and email).

Only one
representative per organization
is allowed.
·
Third-party
representatives and walk-in participants will not be permitted due to logistical constraints.
·
Confirmed
time slots will be communicated via email.
The Ministry of Steel's
Open House aims to provide a structured platform for industry stakeholders to directly
discuss concerns related to steel import procedures, including SIMS, SARAL SIMS,
and QCO exemptions, with the objective of improving regulatory facilitation and
stakeholder engagement.
Ministry of Steel will be conducting Open
House to discuss issues related to import of steel on 9th July 2026 in Steel Room, 3rd Floor,
GPOA- 3, Netaji Nagar New Delhi. Companies and associations may present their
issues related to above subjects in the Open House. To participate in the Open House
e-mails may be sent on tech-steel[at]nic[dot]in for getting a confirmed time slot on
above date.
While sending the e-mail, following information
may be included:
1. Name of the Company/Association
2. Type of industry and product – Auto/Aerospace/Telecom/
Defence, etc.
3. Issue is related to SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO
EXEMPTION
4. Reference of SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO EXEMPTION
application if any
5. Issue in brief (maximum 50 words)
6. Name and designation of participant (third
party representation not allowed)
7. Contact details of the participant (mobile
number and e-mail)
The Open House will be conducted from
11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and specific time slots will be indicated via e-mail. Walk-ins
will not be possible due to logistic challenges and only one representative per
organisation is permitted to ensure wider participation.
It is advised that any company or association
having issues related to SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO EXEMPTION for import of steel may send
their request on the above e-mail by 6th
July 2026, 4:00 pm to get confirmed time-slots.
